The toughest training challenge yet

The Surrey Three Peak Challenge – the toughest training challenge yet.

The tallest peak is 1000ft.

From the start I could tell this was going to HURT!

We all set off at 10am, 4 of the 5 amputees plus 7 able bodied - a great turn out. We must all enjoy pain!

There were very steep inclines and the weather was really humid so we all felt the pressure.

Stumps were hurting and causing blisters, but we all soldiered on and there was great team spirit.

13 miles and 9 hours later - WE DID IT.

Toughest training so far but well worth it.

I am so proud to be one of the team – well done everyone!

Training Update

Here's a quick update on my training.
It's full steam ahead.

Check out the video.

Mountain Legs

Queen Mary's Hospital have kitted me out with a great new set of legs for Kilimanjaro.
All the parts are exposed which will make maintenance much easier on the climb.
I can walk with a real spring in my step now.
Thanks to everyone at Queen Mary's!

Check me out in the video below.
